Kasey interviews some guests….

By @club18-30  //  Magaluf  //  No Comments

If you’ve been out to Magaluf this summer you’ll have enjoyed partying with Merseyside’s lovely Kasey. Having spent the summer leading the way on events as well as answering questions from her guests, she decided to turn the tables and put four of her favourite guests in the hot seat this summer.

What are your names?

Matty Allman, Dave Lavender, Lewis Jones, Daniel Lloyd.

How many times have you been away with Club 18-30?

3 times. Gran Canaria 2009, Kos 2010 and Mallorca 2011.

What do you think of Magaluf?

Our hotel The Coconut is in a brilliant location right on the strip in the middle of all the action. There are so many people all out for a great time. There is so much to do and not enough time to do it!!

What made you first come away with Club 18-30?

We knew we were guaranteed a good time and were going to get our money’s worth.

Why did you keep coming back with Club 18-30?

For the whole Club 18-30 experience, meeting loads of amazing people and making friends for life.

What do you think fo the Club 18-30 reps?

They go out of their way to make sure you have the best week of the year and are fun loving people who are devoted to making your Club 18-30 experience memorable for ever.

What’s your favourite event you have done on a Club 18-30 holiday?

Oh! That’s a hard one but the top 3 are definitely 1- Boat Party 2- neon nights 3- Foam party.

What has been your best experience from all your Club 18-30 holidays?

It’s really hard to pick just 1 or even a couple as every moment of the holiday is a memory to keep with you forever. It’s a week of sun, sea na dmeeting new people and making friends. It doesn’t get better than Club 18-30, it rocks!!

As a group of 4 mates what do you get up to at the weekend?

We are always up for a laugh and a good time so we party at night and recover with a game of football. We also like weekends away like The Big Reunion.

Tell us about your first experience at The Big Reunion.

  • Get to meet up with the rep and friends from holiday again
  • Good music
  • Great accommodation
  • Everyone’s up for a good time
  • Loads to do at all times of the weekend
  • Getting involved in fancy dress.

Roll on The Big Reunion 2011!!

Where are you planning to go next year on holiday?

Definitely with Club 18-30 but we are not fully decided where as there is a wide range of locations available which are all great but I think we are swaying towards Ayia Napa-Bring it on!!!

Mallorca Rocks

By @club18-30  //  Magaluf  //  1 Comment

July 2011 has seen Mallorca Rocks reach new heights with a line-up jam packed with global music superstars. As well as the regular Tuesday night gigs every week, the extra events have been drawing sell out crowds with Radio One Extra, the daytime pool party and extra special Friday night gig with Dizzee Rascal all bringing the tuneage to Mallorca.

Club 18-30 guests can get tickets from there reps and most of you have been getting involved in all of these special gigs and giving amazing feedback on them. Sadly, while lots of guests attend, the reps have to work on a Tuesday night bringing in all the new arrivals on the airport runs, so don’t get to attend the gigs themselves, so news of these extra events that they would actually be able to go to got them very excited!!

July Line up

Tuesday 5th July- Professor Green and Devlin

Tuesday 12th July- Mark Ronson

Saturday 16th July- Radio 1 extra with Chipmunk, Lethal Bizzle, Mann presented by Trevor Nelson and Tim Westwood

Tuesday 19th July- 6th birthday, Biffy Clyro

Sunday 24th July- Pool Party with Eddie Halliwell

Tuesday 26th July- Tinie Tempah

Friday 29th July- Dizzee Rascal

Tuesday night regular gigs saw a big variety in acts. One of our favourites was Biffy Clyro proving that Mallorca Rocks can offer variety from the biggest urban chart toppers such as Professor Green to the biggest indie giants. Another huge highlight was Tinie Tempah, a Club 18-30 favourite, and he may have drawn the biggest crowd of the year.

Radio 1 extra was a free gig. The doors opened at 4pm and the queue to get in was right round the block. The live broadcasting went out from 8pm as Trevor Nelson and Tim Westwood presented the show and our mate Westwood gave Club 18-30 a massive shout out. Sooz and Reanne headed for the VIP area and were soon hanging out with the cast of Hollyoaks before moving to BCM for a very late one! The pool party was a daytime event that all of Club 18-30 guests were invited down to so the reps rounded up the troops and off we went. For the first 2 hours it was raining really hard but this didn’t stop the Club 18-30 reps who got everybody up to dance. Warming up was some local DJ’s, Mallorca Rocks resident Nichola Bear, then D.O.D who was amazing. Then finally at 5pm Eddie Halliwell came on just as the sun came out. The atmosphere was immense.

Dizzee unfortunately couldn’t make any of the Tuesday night slots but as he loves performing at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks, a one off Friday night event was arranged. Supporting Dizzee was the amazing Rizzle Kicks that have just released their debut single, “Down with the Trumpets”. All the reps got to go to this event as they had an extra night off for the end of July party and so the VIP party was packed with Club 18-30 staff.

August looks to be just as exciting with Chase and Status, Labrinth, Example, Sub Focus, 2manyDJ’s, Magnetic Man and Katy B all flying over before September when The streets, Madness and the huge closing party goes down. Mallorca most definitely does rock!!!!

If you’d like to be in Mallorca NEXT WEEK for the amazing Example (and if you need convincing watch this video) gig, then call 0844 879 8308 and find out what last minute deals are still left!

Focus on….Being an Admin

Even though the Club 18-30 season is in mid-flow with thousands of guests partying hard across Europe, in the UK application forms for 2012 are piling in and our team are going through them trying to decide who should should come and interview for the most desirable jobs in travel. Whilst being a Club 18-30 rep is a great job, there is an alternative for those of you who want to enjoy a career in the sun, but not the late nights which are part and parcel of wearing the Club 18-30 uniform. Being an admin means that all the work you do is during the day so you have every night to yourself. We asked our Magaluf admin, Reanne McGrory to take us through exactly what a week in resort means when you’re office based.

If after reading this you think it could be the job for you, visit and download an application.

A week in the life of an admin….

On a Monday I will catch up with everything I have in the office like sorting all the reports and making sure everyone has all the paperwork they need for the airport and resort in general. Then I check the arrivals for Tuesday to make sure there have been no last minute bookings made which the reps will not be aware of. I usually get a lot of visits from the reps which is good to find out what is going on in resort and get all the gossip. I usually stay in on a Monday night as it is an early  start on airport day. I’ll get a good DVD and lots of munch and curl in my apartment.

Tuesday is the day guests leave and arrive. I control the airport transfers, so it is an early start to take the depatures to the airport and meet all the new arrivals. I am basically there to make sure there are no problems with lost luggage or coaches etc. Then I have a transfer into resort myself with the guests. I enjoy meeting new people and finding out what is happening at home. Once I am back into resort I go to the office and prepare for all the reps to come in so I can start printing the tickets for the weeks events. After work I will go and help out the reps with the event.

On a Wednesday I have to collate all the weeks events and sales and take them to Palma to the agent. Everyone is really nice here and so helpful. Then I will come back to the office and prepare the coach order for the Saturday arrivals and email all the hotels with the arrivals lists. All the reps have Wednesday night off so we go to a restaurant and have dinner together and then go out for the night. We usually end up in one of the nightclubs until the early hours.

This is the day where we all go to the beach and recover from the night before as me and all the reps have the day off. There is so much to do during the day like water sports, pool parties, but one of my favorites is shopping in Porto Pi or Palma. On Thursday night we have another event which I go and help the reps out with. I wouldn’t class it as working, more like having a night out with new people.

Every Friday I get my finances ready to send to the UK to be checked and posted. This involves reporting all the tickets that have been sold and expenses and suppliers that have been paid out that week. The deadline for this to be finished is a Monday so I have enough time to make sure it is all correct and completed on time. I also prepare the coach orders for Tuesday arrivals and send out the arrival lists to the hotels.  We have and event called Pirates at night. I will go and meet the reps and guests at the event just to go and watch the show. It is amazing! Then I will go home and get some sleep ready for the airport the next day.

This is another arrival day so I will be on the first departure to the airport to make sure there are no problems for the reps. I will then come back into resort with the last arrivals. Thomas Cook at the airport are very helpful and will lend a hand wherever needed or will point us in the right direction if we have any problems. Then I will come back into resort and prepare all the tickets for the guests. On Saturday nights we have an event called Silent Arena which I help out with. I will meet all the reps at the event where me and the manager control the headsets and deposits from the guests. After the event and all the headsets have been packed up we will go and meet the reps and go out once they finish work. This can end up being a bit of a late night as I have Sunday morning off!

This is the day I catch up with sleep as I don’t start work until 2pm. It’s good to just have a lie in once a week or if I am up early I will go to the beach and just chill out. Once I get in the office I will start updating logs and our Facebook page to let everyone know what is happening in resort. At the end of the day I complete the last bit of my finances ready to email to the UK on a Monday. We have School Disco on a Sunday night full of good old cheesy classics. This is one of my favorite events so always make sure I’m out with the reps helping with the games and the night.

Id say being an admin is the best job. As long as you have all your work done during the day and are organized and ready for the next day you can have the night to yourself where you can go out with friends, on the events or just stay in and watch DVDs. If you go on the events you do have to help the reps out but it is not hard work and they usually have everything covered anyway.

Basshunter in Magaluf

By @club18-30  //  Magaluf  //  No Comments

We love a Celeb here at Club 18-30, and we were very excited that when Basshunter came for a clubbing holiday in Magaluf this weekend,  the Number #1 DJ and Celebrity Big Brother star knew exactly where to head for a party. Rocking up to the Club 18-30 Silent Arena, Basshunter (Jonas Altman to his friends) donned a headset and joined the party – and between tunes chatted to Club 18-30 guests and posed for pictures.

Club 18-30 Magaluf manager Sooz Lee tells us he was really nice, and it’s great to know Basshunter clearly hasn’t let a Platinum selling album go his head.

Have you ever holidayed with a Celeb? If so, please share your stories below!

Focus on The Inn, Magaluf

By @club18-30  //  Magaluf  //  No Comments

It takes lots of different ingredients to create the perfect clubbing holiday; great reps, amazing venues, up-for-it guests and a little bit of fancy dress. One important factor is your hotel. One of our favourite Magaluf hotels, The Inn is smack bang in the heart of Magaluf, just a short walk from both the sandy beaches and the banging nightlife. With a fantastic pool and bar, the Inn really is a bang tidy holiday option!

James ‘Wilko’ Wilkinson managed to catch the Inn’s receptionist, and Magaluf institution Judith for a couple of minutes, so if you’re staying at The Inn this summer, meet the lady who’ll be making your holiday that bit more special!

What’s your name?

Judith Thompson

Where are you from?

Knutsford, England

How long have you been in Mallorca?

Since the summer of ’69, 1969!!

What made you come over to work?

I came here on holiday and loved it so much that I came back to work and have never looked back.

How long have you worked at the Inn?

Since 2001, 10 years this summer!

What does your job entail at the Inn?

Check in and check out, allocating the rooms, pretty much a general dogsbody!

What are your favourite Club 18-30 guests?

We get a lot of repeat guests that come back year upon year which is nice as it is like our own little family.
How do the Club 18-30 reps help you do your job?
They deal with the impossible and can handle all situations at anytime, which makes my job easier too.
What is your favourite drink?
I used to be partial to a white wine but I have stopped drinking now.
What do you do in the Winter when all are guests have gone?
Relax, gardening, car boot sales and restore furniture and wait for it all to start all over again!
Cheers Judith

Club 18-30 Events: Zante, Magaluf & Gumbet

Check out the Club 18-30 event schedules in Magaluf, Zante & Gumbet below if you’re headed out to a resort to party with us this summer.

Click here to see the schedules for Rhodes, Ibiza & Kos.

We’ll be covering Bulgaria, Malia, Cyprus and Kavos tomorrow.

The Club 18-30 kick starts into action on a Tuesday evening with the unforgettable Hat Club. The challenge is on to have the biggest and best headwear as you explore Magaluf to get a sense of the resort’s unbeatable nightlife. You’ll finish the night partying with Hed Kandi in Banana and that is not an experience to miss.

Wednesday you’ll want to board the good ship Red Lion for the Castaway boat party as you set sail on the Mediterranean for a full day of games, swim stops, chilling out and general antics on the high seas. When you get back to dry land you can join your shipmates at the Red Lion to continue the party into the night. The following evening, the aptly named We love Thursdays means a Neon party so slap on the UV paint, day-glo leg warmers and hi-vis jackets and hit the strip with the reps and your fellow guests for a night of fun and games.

Friday is no time for a quiet night in, so Walk the Plank at the Pirates afterparty in one of Magaluf’s best bars. The reps can sort tickets out for you to the Pirates show which is one of the best nights in Magaluf and a Club 18-30 favourite. Saturday night you’ll receive a set multi-channel set of headphones as you enter our venue which let you choose between two DJs; so whether you fancy some dirty dubstep or a bop to Hanson the choice is yours but believe us – the description doesn’t do this incredible party justice! The Blue Inc Pool Party will soon sort any soreheads on Sunday morning so be sure to get involved in the games, races and messing around this favourite event involves before another night of dressing up for a School Disco. The antics are childish and the tunes cheesy so roll back the years to your Year 9 disco and get involved. Bonus points for genuine school ties!

Monday morning is one for the football mad as we host a 5-a-side tournament at the local purpose built pitches. Join a team, get your banter on and burn of a few of those holiday calories in the sunshine. For those of you not inclined to join the football, fear not, Monday still has a Party Night to see you off as we host loads of games and entertainment between you and your new holiday BFF’s. After you’ve hopefully won a few prizes, get ready for one last tour of Maga on a farewell night on the town.

If you’re heading to Turkey this summer you’re in for a treat right from the start as your week kicks off with We Love Tuesdays. The reps lead you and your new mates on a tour of the Gumbet nightlife, showing you what’s hot and what’s not around the town. Expect big banter and lots of getting to know each other style entertainment. Wednesday is a massive day with The Big Foam possibly the best foam party anywhere. Gumbet’s incredible open air beach club is the destination and with Jacuzzi’s at the ready , foam cannons pumping and the sun shining you’ll can expect to out squeaky clean after a massive party in the foam. That night, when you’ve washed the foam from your hair it’s time to get messy again as you enjoy Neon Anthems. The 90′s dance scene is the tuneage of choice and so get your Neon paint out, get creative and hit the dancefloor to Rhythm is a Dancer. When you’re ready for some more contempary beats, you’ll be taken to see out the night at one of Gumbet’s best bars.

Thursday morning the Gumbet Reps host a Pool Party and you won’t want to miss it as the games and races get competitive and you learn the true meaning of SALMON!! That night the fun theme continues with Party Night; a night involving cheesy pop tunes and some big indie anthems. The games will be silly but expect prizes and forfeits to give the night the party vibe! Friday it’s time to experience a bit more culture as you get to see the Bodrum sunset from a boat and with a DJ setting the scene you’ll travel against the water to Bodrum where it’s time to see the best this buzzing resort has to offer. Once you’ve seen the sights it’s back to Gumbet to see the night out in style. Fridays trip to Bodrum will have definitely given you a taste for the water and so set sail with us on the Castaway Birthday Party. Expect a day of fun filled antics, summer tunes and a spot of lunch thrown in. With plenty of swim stops for a cheeky dip and a beach stop for watersports or a camel ride, we are doing it all! Make sure you go home with a tan to die for (but slap that sunscreen on – Turket gets hot!!

Sunday is all about relaxing during the day but at night, shake any cobwebs off and be prepared for the Full Moon Beach Party at our luxury venue on the sea front for an unforgettable last night. Breakdancers, limbo and Sumo Suits keep the carnival atmosphere alive whilst we put on a last supper meal to give you the energy for this last night of partying. Then head back to the town for a last goodbye in style.

Zante has more buzz than a beehive in 2011 and a week of events here kicks off on a Friday with the School Disco so get dressed up and join the fun as we head to Rescues for a night of partying to some old school classics. Expect The Ultimate Day Out on Saturday when you’ll be boarding a fun boat for a day of antics, a great DJ and a lunch thrown in. Once you’re back, get your glad rags on for a Party Night at one of the hotels as your reps get you involved in games and night to remember with a tour of Laganas’ hottest spots and a bit of karaoke thrown in for good measure.

Take Sunday as a day to catch up on some poolside relaxation before Monday comes and the Silent Arena kicks in. This is a DJ battle with a distance as both get their groove on simultaneously while you choose your flavour on your special headphones. This incredible experience is not to be missed. Tuesday is another chance to recharge your batteries before Wednesday gets epic with the daytime Pool Party which sees competitions, games and silly poolside antics giving you and your holiday mates a chance to cement your friendship with some tag team pool racing action. Wednesday night is all about the essence of Thailand, with the world famous Full Moon Parties recreated for your enjoyment. Expect dancing, lots of neon and a night you’ll never forget.
If you want to join us for some partying in the sunshine, visit or call 0844 879 8308 for holidays from £89pp

Magaluf 2011: Reps in training

Sooz and her team Magaluf and now all geared up for their summer ahead. You’ve seen what’s been going down in Gumbet and Faliraki, so we caught up with Sooz to find out what they have been up to and how they got to know the Magaluf ready for the first arrivals of the summer….

Hey everyone,  it’s Sooz Lee here with an update on our pre-season training.

It’s important that Club 18-30 reps are the expert in their resort, and most will start the season in a place they may never have visited before, let alone worked. Therefore it’s essential that we get them up to speed quickly so they are able to answer any questions guests may have.

One way we do this is by sending them off on a resort ramble; which has been a feature of pre-season training for years. Normally done on their first day, it’s a great way for the reps to settle into their home for the next 5 months. This is what we did in Mallorca. The reps landed at 10am after a 4am start from the UK, they got to dump their stuff at their hotel and were straight into it.

Our first challenge was to find the Club 18-30 office but asking a few people gets you a long way and we eventually all made it! Having just arrived, they were placed in teams, given a series of questions to answer (check these out below) and set off armed with nothing more than a camera and loads of enthusiasm in search of the answers.

Without maps or any hints they start by finding all our hotels in resort and to prove they have been there have to have a picture outside. They have to find out a series of questions about the hotel from how much is a safety deposit box to the birthday of the manager. They then make their way around resort finding cash machines, supermarkets, chemists, the police station and post office, remembering to take pictures. This means that should a guest during the summer ask for these facilities, the reps are fully prepared to direct them.

Then onto finding the bars and venues we use. To mix it up a bit there are more obscure questions such as: who is the Manager of the Red Lion and what football team does he support. Souvenirs are a must and points would be awarded for the best one although the Mallorca guys only came back with 2 long straws and a lemon.

We also ask them to find out prices of things in resort, this can be from half a pint of Guiness in Mulligans, the price of the watersports, or just how much the cheapest loaf of bread is in a supermarket.

Our guys are pretty competitive so they will go for hours to get all the answers. Then it’s time to come back to the office and present their answers, pictures and souvenirs. Prizes are given for the best team, in Mallorca’s case Amy and Dani won the prestigious plastic medals! However none of the teams managed to answer where are the Coconut monkeys, even though they got some very strange looks asking people around resort, but they were sat in the office all the time!

Here are a selection the tasks our reps had to do on their resort ramble…

  • Name all Club 18-30 properties. Get a picture outside the front of each one, their hotel manager and bar staff. And find out important info like safety deposit payment, room deposits, and the hotel manager’s birthday! (Prizes for the best picture!)
  • What is Shane Ricthie’s quote which is posted up for up on the front of Pirates?
  • Find the phone opposite Red Lion and get a Spanish LEBARA MOVIL pay as you go sim card – you’ll need your passport
  • How many strides long is the wooden pier on the beach where the cruise sets sail from?
  • Take a picture outside a Chemist.
  • Take a picture outside a Bank.
  • Find out what MCP stands for.
  • Take a picture of the cheapest loaf of bread you can find.
  • Get a picture with the ‘Coconut Monkeys’

Pirates Uncut in Magaluf

By @club18-30  //  Magaluf  //  No Comments

Club 18-30 love Magaluf. And we really love a good show. But most of all, we enjoy it when we get to watch men stand on each others heads and women get used as skipping ropes. All of these things probably have a lot to do with why we love Pirates Uncut, the incredible adults only show that takes place in Magaluf.

The sexy swashbuckling Pirates Uncut features a combination of unbelievable stunts from some seriously flexible acrobats and gymnasts blended perfectly with enough pirate eye candy to keep both the boys and the girls entertained. Think death defying and you’re halfway there. We genuinely have no clue how they do half of it and after some ill advised efforts we’ve decided to give our backs a break, stop wondering and just enjoy the show.

Come to Magaluf with Club 18-30 and you’ll find this is a fixture in our excursion list and something the reps look forward to even after seeing it 20 times in a summer. The night starts at Alex’s bar with the pre-party before arriving at Pirates where you’re given enough Sangria & white wine to ensure plenty of drunken sailors.

Still want more; join the Club 18-30 crew at Magaluf’s hottests clubs for the after party which goes on into the very early hours…

Pirates Uncut is something no other clubbing holiday resort can offer and so if this sounds like your idea of an incredible night out (and it should), then check out where Magaluf clubbing holidays start from under £200pp

Check out more info on the Pirates Uncut
